Atlanta Medical Clinic's UFE program was built with a single, clear mission: to ensure that every woman with symptomatic uterine fibroids knows she has options beyond major surgery.
Too many women are told their only choices are to "live with" their symptoms or undergo a hysterectomy. That is simply not true. Uterine Fibroid Embolization is proven, FDA-cleared, insurance-covered, and available — yet many women never hear about it.
We built this practice to change that. We combine advanced interventional radiology technology with a compassionate, patient-centered approach that puts your goals, values, and wellbeing first.
We are not here to rush you to a procedure. We are here to give you the honest, complete information you need to make the best decision for your body — and then support you every step of the way if you choose UFE.
Precision matters in UFE. The accuracy of catheter navigation directly affects outcomes. We use state-of-the-art imaging and embolization technology to ensure the safest, most effective procedure possible.
Every patient undergoes a dedicated pelvic MRI before UFE. This allows us to create a precise "map" of every fibroid — its size, location, and blood supply — so we can target treatment with maximum accuracy.
Our state-of-the-art fluoroscopy system provides real-time, high-resolution X-ray imaging during the procedure, giving our radiologist unparalleled precision when navigating catheters and delivering embolization particles.
We use precisely calibrated embolization microspheres to block fibroid blood supply. The size of particles is carefully matched to each patient's anatomy to maximize fibroid treatment while protecting healthy uterine tissue.
Dr. Barton is supported by a dedicated team of nurses, patient coordinators, and administrative staff who are passionate about women's health and making your experience as smooth and supportive as possible.
